Why oh why

"Now that ive felt how soft her feet are, I want to meet her family!"
Tonight, after having a lovely night with my girlfriends, I was reminded again of what a loser and not to mention bad feminist I am for watching the bachelorette. So, I get home and finishing watching this weeks episode (for lack of other options, and the need to see who gets a rose) and one of the first quotes i hear is the one from above. This came from Tanner, who i posted earlier that I sincerely believe is gay, he just doesnt realize it yet. The boy has a foot fettish like none i have ever seen and is quite ok with sharing it. Lotion was involved while rubbing her feet this week, and he even rated her feet a 9.5 out of ten, and admitted that if she had Mango, Mango nail polish on, it would have been a 10...ARE WE SERIOUS HERE?!?!?! What producer is in charge of casting here. Maybe this said producer is a genius, who knows, but i do know that i'm still watching it so its obviously still working. ok, off my rant now, back to the Tudors. I'll post about that series later.. but its much better than the bachelorette.
By the way, thinking bout you Liv :)

Summer Fun

To signify the beginning of summer, ive decided to go beachy with my blog design. Also, I'll be hitting the beach with my mom and sister's next week as well, so it just makes sense. Im loving the warm weather thus far, although i wish i could spend more time out in it. This past weekend i was determind to lay out, but the special thunderstorms took that away from me. Hopefully this weekend, the weather will be kinder to this fair skinned gal in need of some color.
I was going to post a long rant about some shows I was watching tonight, but im not in that kind of mood, so back to that later.
In other news, im working on my training for the 5k i'm running in July, and the first week was great. I was right on track with my workouts. Last week, however, i got sidetracked with work and social events, so i was a bit off track. SO, starting yesterday, i decided to get back on the workout wagon and had a great 2 mile run and 1/2 mile incline walk on the treadmill. Well, today around 1, my back started killing me. I usually have back issues thanks to (what Jordan calls) Sco-lio-lio-sis, but this was different. I guess I overworked one of my lower back muscles on that run, maybe i pushed it a bit too hard. So, now i'm chillin on the sofa with the heating pad and popping advil trying to feel better again. Anyone up for a massage?

Lovely Lingerie!
The past few days have been quite a whirlwind for us. Starting with Thursday night when we had a group of friends over for our monthly supper club. Friday night I hosted my sister-in-law's lingerie shower, and as you can see from the pictures it was very pink! I had a fun time getting to know the other bridesmaids and Emily's friends. Later that night we hit up Twist and Shout, and didnt make it back till like 2am. I dont do that often, so needless to say, i was exhausted. Jordan, in the meantime was out trying the products of the recent Free the Hops success, so neither of us felt up to par on saturday. However, we rebounded and attended a couple's shower for Emily and Jason saturday night. I wish I had a picture of Jason wearing camo suspenders, a sombrero, and literally a ball and chain by the end of the night. Later that night we had the option of hanging out with friends after John Paul's wedding, watching a UFC fight, going to an actual MMA fight at the BJCC, or bed. We chose the later. Also, I think we napped most of today. I dont have the energy for too many weekends like that, but it sure was fun...

Another wedding weekend

This weekend we had our second wedding of the season at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Homewood, then a gorgeous reception at the Matt Jones Gallery in Lakeview. My business partner, Daniel, and his gorgeous fiance Lauren were quite the hosts. There is nothing like a wedding with Italian families. Mostly because I love antipasta. Also, good wine, good music, and great people. Pics will follow, bc i didnt have my camera and i'm waiting on pictures from others present at the wedding. The Matt Jones Gallery was an awesome venue! Anyone looking to get married soon should definitly give it a look see. It was trendy, but not too artsy, and plently of room for guests/food/dancing and socializing. Its going to be a lonley week in the office without Daniel, but I guess we'll let him have a honeymoon.
