He is awesome. I was very hesitant about getting a dog bc its a big resposibility, but it's day 3 and we are loving it.
in love.
Currently the only dilemma is his name. We simply cannot come up with (or agree on) anything that seems to fit. Jordan really wants to name him Julio (Jones), however, im not down with that so much. Suggestions are welcomed.
What I was really worried about was how the kitties were going to handle this major change. Well, so far so good. We have had a few battings and hissing fits, but on the whole, both Ellie and Spence are really intrigued by this new creature. This picture sums up Ellie's thoughts on day 1.
By day three, she is becoming a little more open to the idea. However, this encounter didnt end in cuddling.
Maybe the cats would be cooler if little man wouldnt steal their toys
thats a toy mouse in his mouth
a rare photo of all my furry children in one area. Spencer is behind the lantana.
Its hard to get a good pic of a black dog, but take my word for it, he's precious. The doc said he'll be at least 80 pounds, so right now im enjoying carrying around this little bundle.

prec! So exciting! cant wait to meet him!
ReplyDeleteHey jeris it's Caitlin, Cristin's sister. so glad you got a dog! you are going to love it, if you can handle cats you can handle a dog.. the first 7 mos are the hardest but after that they are just a part of the family! my rule with names is that I just let them come organically, it usually takes a couple weeks to get a name but by then you know the name really fits! i mean i have a cat named girlfriend-hotpuss and a dog named chow, i would say those are pretty sweet names!
ReplyDeletethanks caitlin, i think you are right. I'll know the right name when it chews my heels :)
