Sun-Shine

Admist talk of snow and ice here in Bama, we are watching sunny themed shows and movies. Jordan and I have a new system, now that we have joint custody of the Netflix cue. (which took me almost three years to achieve) The System: We alternate picks of the movies we watch. He picks, i pick, ect. The rules: 1) It has to be a pick the other would enjoy to the best of your knowledge. For instance, I cant pick Sex and the City, and he cant pick a Terminator-type movie. 2) It has to be watched. I cant flake out on his movie and vice versa. Right now those are the rules. Tonight was his pick. We watched Shine.

Fabulous pick. While its "snowing" this weekend, you should rent this one, bundle up and enjoy. It's based on the true story of an Austrailian pianist savant. Not a new flick, but one you probably missed out on.

Afterwards, we needed a little light hearted enjoyment, so we went to our current favorite show, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Some shows we catch at their inception and become devoted (Lost, The Office). But we are waaay behind on this gem, and its our new obsession. I wouldnt call it family friendly, but I do call it  genius. It is also the only thing that has made my husband agree to visit Philadelphia. Apparently, during the 2011 college football season, Bama plays Penn State away (they play them at home next year), so we might have to pay Philly a little visit (Independence Hall!, Liberty Bell! yay!) This one is a joint pick, which can override either of our personal picks at any time (I guess thats rule #3) Here is my next pick:

Yes, your are correct. Thats the same guy from East Bound and Down. This might have gone straight to dvd, it might be a MTV produced film (with the help of Will Ferrell), but its a fun one. Thanks Gillian and Olan for introducing me to this gem in while in Ireland.

Tomorrow, it's Bama domination time.
